There is something wonderfully exciting about packing for a holiday. That feeling of possibility. The hopeful outfits. The books I always pack, convinced this will be the holiday I somehow read four novels in a week. But if you're travelling as a family, the reality is usually a little different.
Packing for five people can feel completely overwhelming. You're trying to remember passports, chargers, sun cream, swimming costumes, favourite cuddly toys... and somehow fit it all into a few suitcases without forgetting something important.
One thing that has genuinely transformed our family holidays is using packing cubes. Each person has their own set, making it so much easier to stay organised, especially if you're moving between places. For years I battled with children throwing dirty clothes back in with the clean washing, creating that familiar holiday suitcase smell after just a couple of days. Now everything has its place, and unpacking or repacking takes minutes instead of becoming a complete treasure hunt.
When you're travelling from one destination to another, suitcases quickly become a bit of a jungle. Having a simple system means less stress and more time enjoying the holiday.
